This paper reviews the legal aspect of formed and changing perceptions Communist Party Vietnam on socialist-oriented market economy (SME). The authors assess reflection that awareness in 2013 Constitution practical implementation Vietnam’s participation recent free trade agreements. We find there have been important changes related to SME before enactment Constitution. However, about policy is not enough has caused several challenges its enforcement, especially regarding system global economic integration. here also point out conflicts between building a with requirements terms theory agreements, raising questions whether those could be acceptable how address them.
